How to Choose a Doctor

Contact our office or request online for an appointment.  In these videos, Dr. J. Michael Bennett discusses how to choose a doctor in general and the education and training required to become a Board Certified Orthopedic Surgeon and Fellowship Trained Sports Medicine Physician.  Doctor Bennett serves patients from all over the Houston area from his clinics in Sugar Land and in Houston, near the Galleria.

When you think about how to choose a doctor, you should evaluate candidate physicians on personal and professional levels.  On a personal level, your doctor should foster trust and confidence through a willingness to answer your questions and explain treatment options.  On a professional level, your physician should have the medical educational background and specialized experience to be Board Certified in his or her area of expertise.

Does your doctor explain how he or she arrived at your diagnosis and then provide options for treating your injury or condition?  Does your doctor explain the anatomy of your injury or condition?  Do the people on your doctor’s staff answer your questions and help you with any insurance issues?  We take great pride in our patient focus and Dr. Bennett and his staff will take the time to answer your questions.
