Doctor Bennett Talks About Orthopedics and Sports Medicine at Fall Festival

A number of Houston sports legends attended the event including Stuart Holden, the UK’s #1 ranked soccer player; Taekwondo Olympians Steven, Mark, and Diana Lopez of Sugar Land; former Houston Texan Devard Darling; NFL veteran Chester Pitts, and NFL Scout and former Houston Oiler Alonzo Highsmith

Dr. Bennett supported the Fall Festival by answering questions about sports medicine and treatments for shoulder and elbow injuries, and he demonstrated the use of portable ultrasound in the diagnosis of shoulder sports injuries with Olympic Champion Steven Lopez.  Steven’s sister, Olympian Diana Lopez helped me demonstrate a sports medicine knee examination.

In addition to the sports stars attending, the Richmond Fire Department had a fire truck on display and a PHI helicopter was on static display in the parking area.  There was also face painting, rock climbing, sculptured balloons, and bouncy houses for the kids to enjoy.
